The Forschungszulage provides funding for German start- & scaleups doing R&D.
It covers 25% of your R&D costs - up to €1 MM every year.
Step 1: Funding application
Initially, a funding application must be submitted, describing your R&D project. Once approved, you are entitled to receive funding!
Coup's contribution
- Identify & delimit relevant R&D activities
- Software-based input of project information, reducing your efforts
- Writing and submitting the final application
Step 2: Continuous documentation
You have to continuously document the incurred R&D costs to claim them with the tax office.

Step 3: Yearly payout
For payout, the final funding amount is determined by the tax office based on the provided documentation.

- Providing a filled-out template for submitting data to ELSTER
- Support in case of tax office inquiries
